The brief was to update and reinvigorate a tired and outdated high street retail unit to simulate new tenant occupation and explore the possibilities of diversifying the landlord's income.

The solution was to convert the upper difficult to let office accommodation into a one bed self contained flat unit.

An in-keeping, but fresh, shop front replaced the jeweler's arcade and shop windows bringing display opportunities right onto the street edge.

​

Ancillary facilities were repositioned and rationalised to generate additional net lettable area internally.
